ABOUT
Church Interiors was founded in 1997 with the intent to provide quality seating and services to churches and funeral homes. Originally, Chris Rush worked for the company who began the movement of churches switching from pews to chairs for their multipurpose rooms. Chairs were then moved into sanctuaries. Over the years, CI has expanded into school and theater markets. From Space Center Houston at NASA , to schools, churches and funeral homes in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, all over Texas, Louisiana and the nation. Church Interiors, or CI for short, has a longstanding history of serving clients both effectively and efficiently.
We pride ourselves on working closely with our clients to meet their needs. Through the years, we saw budgetary constraints for many clients who are looking to update or replace their seating. Not every business could purchase the new seating they preferred, like pews or theater seats, so that is when CI began refurbishing clients existing pews. We wanted to find a way to help provide an honest, quality option for ALL of our clients, and by CI refurbishing pews it accomplished that. Now, we also help to find and sell used pews for clients when possible as well!
Over time, we have learned the pros and cons of each type of furniture available and we are excited to help our clients navigate their needs to find the best fit! Chris Rush, founder of Church Interiors Furniture Company, has been in the pew business for over 30 years and has grown from just a salesperson to now an experienced project manager and designer. He has mastered the art of refinishing, reupholstering, assembling, and anchoring pews. He has worked in every manner except actually building the furniture. He is an expert in the trade for churches and funeral homes.

WHAT WE OFFER
We offer solid wood pews with a 25 year warranty. Many styles are available to choose from- all wood to fully upholstered with ends including cantilever, full end, waterfall, and colonial styles. The fabric choices are seemingly endless, with hundreds of current, quality fabric choices to choose from to match your space's aesthetic design.
The wood and metal chairs have a number of style and frame options, with by far the most popular chair having a closed back. This covering eliminates the frame structure from showing and creates a seamless row of chairs, which is a great option to achieve the pew "feel" but with the flexibility chairs provide. Other options include lumbar support, larger seat sizes and a waterfall seat front that allows it to look similar to a pew seat and the seat is deeper. Through the years, they have really increased the customization options that are provided with chairs to truly meet all your needs!
We can breath new life into worn out pews for significantly less cost than replacing them with new pews. By simply replacing the foam, changing the fabric, repairing and/or replacing broken parts, some wood touch up and your pews will be almost like new again for a lot less cost. Reupholstering pews can be done two different ways. Your pews would be relocated to our shop and reupholstered at that location and refinishing or repair work can also be done at this time. We are also set up to perform the work on site if needed. Many times pews need some repair work, such as new anchors, fix legs, tighten ends and even repaint the pew ends.
During a remodel we can help reconfigure your layout to use your existing pews. If your needs call for removing the pews, we can help with removing them, and sometimes find a buyer for your used pews.
Our custom shop can build about any pulpit without custom charges. The radius pulpit and cross pulpit and column types are very popular.
